I grew up in Naturns in the Vinschgau valley, surrounded by the mountains of South Tyrol — the very place where I still live and work today. I didn't come to photography through theory, but through observation: I wanted to capture the moment before it became posed, before it became fake. For over 10 years I've been photographing and filming weddings, concerts, companies and people across South Tyrol, Northern Italy and Europe — always with the same conviction: I'm not the photographer who stages you. I'm the one who's there when you laugh, cry, or simply breathe.
I don't stage scenes. I observe, wait, and press the shutter when the moment is real — not when it would be perfectly staged.
You should experience your day, not pose for the camera. I move quietly in the background, almost like part of the company — not like a photographer on assignment.
Every couple, every company gets a tailored offer — no off-the-shelf standard package. I photograph and film myself — no team, no substitute.
I work with a Nikon Z6 III and Blackmagic cinema cameras for film, including ENAC-certified drone footage. Everything from one hand, one point of contact.
Gabriel Höllrigl is a wedding photographer and filmmaker from Naturns in South Tyrol, Italy. For more than ten years he has documented weddings across South Tyrol, the Dolomites, Tyrol and Lake Garda, photographing over 100 couples. His style is documentary and unobtrusive: rather than staging scenes, he captures what really happens. He photographs and films every wedding himself, with no rotating team. On request, photos and the wedding film come from one hand, including licensed drone footage. Alongside weddings he produces business photography, brand films, drone footage and livestreams for hotels, companies and events. Couples and companies receive an individual offer instead of a standard package, and he works in German, Italian or English.
