A local who knows the light.
I know every viewpoint
I live in South Tyrol and have been photographing in the mountains for over ten years. I know where the sun lands at 6 a.m., which paths are open, and what we do when the clouds roll in.
Nothing for you to coordinate
You’re travelling from far away, so I take care of timing, walking routes, and the weather plan. You arrive and get married – everything else runs quietly in the background.
Real mountain moments
Terrace ceremonies high above the valley, veils in the meadows below the Schlern, arrivals by horse-drawn carriage. Everything in the gallery below is a real wedding.
Where you can say yes.

Dolomites wedding locations – and how I plan them.
Seiser Alm & Schlern
Europe’s largest high-alpine meadow beneath the iconic Schlern: lush green in June, golden light in September. Car access is often restricted during the day, so I plan the timing and transport with you.
Val Gardena (Gröden)
Ortisei, Santa Cristina and Selva beneath the Sella and Langkofel groups. Cable cars, mountain huts with panoramic terraces and short routes to sunrise viewpoints.
Val Badia (Gadertal) & Alta Badia
A Ladin valley of quiet villages, mountain huts and rock walls. I’ve photographed terrace ceremonies here – sheltered, intimate and framed by the cliffs.
Passo Sella & Sella group
At 2,244 m: vows on the ridge line between the Sella and Langkofel massifs. I’ve photographed a hut ceremony up here.
Lago di Braies & Pustertal
The emerald lake in the Pragser Dolomites is spectacular but busy in summer, so sunrise or shoulder season works best. Access is sometimes limited, which I factor into the plan.
Cortina & Tre Cime
Cortina d’Ampezzo and the Tre Cime di Lavaredo (up to 2,999 m) deliver the postcard Dolomites. From Naturns it’s about three hours by car, so we plan a full day.
Your spot. My car.
I live in Naturns, in the west of South Tyrol. Most Dolomites locations are 1.5 to 3 hours away – and I drive to you, so you don’t have to worry about a thing. Tell me where you want to get married and I’ll plan the route, the timing and the light.
Schematic. Drive times from Naturns are approximate.
- Seiser Alm & Schlern~1 h 30
- Val Gardena~1 h 35
- Val di Funes~1 h 45
- Passo Sella~2 h 05
- Alta Badia~2 h 20
- Pragser Wildsee~2 h 50
- Cortina~3 h
- Tre Cime~3 h
The best time to get married in the Dolomites.
Fresh green
Flowering meadows, snow still on the peaks. Some high-altitude lifts and huts only open during June.
Peak season
Warm, long days and everything open – but also the busiest weeks. Afternoon thunderstorms are common, so mornings and early evenings work best.
Golden light
Often stable weather, warm golden light and fewer crowds. Great for elopements.
Golden larches & snow
Larches turn gold in autumn, and from December snow transforms the valleys. Fewer lifts and huts are open, so we choose easy-to-reach spots.
Typical conditions – they vary by altitude and year. I’m happy to advise on your date.

Hi, I’m Gabriel – your Dolomites wedding photographer.
I’m a wedding photographer and filmmaker based in Naturns, South Tyrol, Italy. For more than ten years I’ve documented over 100 weddings, from intimate elopements to full-day celebrations, and I shoot every one myself.
International couples choose me because I’m a local: I know the Dolomites’ light, trails and weather, I’m a licensed drone pilot (ENAC, valid in Italy and the EU), and I work in English, German and Italian.

Many international couples hold a symbolic ceremony in the Dolomites and take care of the legal marriage at home. It’s simpler, and it leaves you free to choose any spot you love.
According to press reports from July 2026, several South Tyrolean municipalities have recently limited or slowed civil weddings for non-residents. If you want a legal ceremony in Italy, check with the municipality early.
I’m a photographer, not a planner or a lawyer – but I’m happy to recommend celebrants and planners.
Good to know.
