Was ist bei einer Berghochzeit rund um den Schlern zu beachten (Wetter, Jahreszeit)?

Von Juni bis September sind die Almwiesen grün und gut begehbar, im Frühherbst wird das Licht klar. Wetterumschwünge gehören dazu – ich plane immer eine Alternative ein und bin flexibel im Tagesablauf.

Wie kommen die Hochzeitsgäste auf die Seiser Alm?

Tagsüber ist die Alm für den privaten Autoverkehr meist gesperrt – Zufahrt ist mit Sondergenehmigung möglich (z. B. für Hochzeitsfeiern), sonst über die Seilbahn ab Seis oder Kastelruth. Ich helfe bei der Abstimmung mit der Location.

Wie läuft die Zusammenarbeit für eine Hochzeit am Schlern ab?

Nach dem Erstgespräch bekommt ihr ein individuelles Angebot. Am Tag selbst begleite ich euch von der Vorbereitung bis zur Feier – inklusive Drohnenaufnahmen über den Almwiesen, wenn Wetter und Vorschriften es erlauben.

Was, wenn die Bergwetterlage am Hochzeitstag schlecht ist?

Nebel und Wolken ziehen auf dieser Höhe oft schnell durch – ich habe genug Erfahrung, um kurze Wetterfenster zu nutzen. Als Rückzugsort dienen Almhütten oder Locations weiter unten im Tal.

The Schlern and the Seiser Alm are among the most impressive mountain backdrops in South Tyrol – wide alpine meadows, rugged rock faces and a panorama perfectly suited to emotional, nature-connected wedding photos. Anyone looking for a ceremony or shoot away from the city will find one of the most beautiful backdrops in the Dolomites here.

At this altitude every minute of good light counts – so I work in a documentary, unobtrusive style, observing the flow of the day and capturing moments without interrupting them. As a one-person operation (no team, no substitute), I shoot with a Nikon Z6 III, film with Blackmagic cinema cameras and offer certified drone footage over the alpine meadows (ENAC license for Italy/EU) – one point of contact for the whole day.

Yes, very gladly – the region is among my favourite backdrops in South Tyrol. I know St. Valentin, Kastelruth, Compatsch and the mountain huts well and will advise you on the choice.

What should we consider for a mountain wedding at the Schlern (weather, season)?

From June to September the alpine meadows are green and easy to walk, in early autumn the light turns clear. Weather changes are part of the deal – I always plan an alternative and stay flexible with the day's schedule.

How do wedding guests get up to the Alpe di Siusi?

During the day the alp is generally closed to private traffic – access is possible with a special permit (for weddings, for example), otherwise via the cable car from Seis or Kastelruth. I help coordinate this with the venue.

How does working together for a wedding at the Schlern work?

After the first conversation you receive an individual offer. On the day I accompany you from preparation to the celebration – including drone shots over the alpine meadows, weather and regulations permitting.

What if the mountain weather is bad on the wedding day?

At this altitude fog and clouds often move through quickly – I have enough experience to make use of short weather windows. Mountain huts or venues further down in the valley serve as a fallback.

Do we get photos and the wedding film from one person?
