Right on my doorstep: weddings in Naturns & the Vinschgau

Naturns is my home – and therefore the place I know best. The Vinschgau is considered one of the sunniest regions of South Tyrol, surrounded by apple orchards and mountains. Because I live here, travel to your location is especially short and flexible – which benefits you too.

As a wedding photographer with over 10 years of experience, I accompany couples in Naturns and across the whole Vinschgau – with the shortest travel distance you'll find anywhere in South Tyrol.

Since Naturns is my home, I know the light conditions and the most beautiful corners of the Vinschgau especially well – from sunrise over the vineyard terraces to evening light across the apple orchards. I shoot in a documentary, unobtrusive style, as a one-person operation with a Nikon Z6 III, Blackmagic cinema cameras for video and certified drone footage (ENAC license for Italy/EU).

Wedding venues in Naturns and the Vinschgau

Places in my home area that I know especially well:

• Steghof, Naturns – Medieval farm with restored barn, garden and parlours on the edge of the village – I photograph here regularly.
• Prokuluskirche, Naturns – One of the oldest surviving churches in the German-speaking Alps, with early medieval frescoes – small, quiet, right in the village.
• Schloss Juval – Reinhold Messner's castle at the entrance to the Schnals valley, surrounded by vineyards – a striking backdrop for couple photos.
• Kloster Marienberg, Burgeis – The highest Benedictine monastery in Europe, in the upper Vinschgau, with a Romanesque crypt and a wide valley view.
• Churburg, Schluderns – One of South Tyrol's best-preserved castles, with an armoury and inner courtyards, in the same family's hands for centuries.
• Vinschger Waalwege – Centuries-old irrigation paths along the hillsides, lined with apple orchards – quiet routes for the couple shoot among the greenery.
• Vernagt-Stausee & Schnalstal – Turquoise reservoir at the foot of the glaciers, about 30 minutes from Naturns – an alpine backdrop without a long drive.
